Model Context Protocol (MCP) is the corporate travel industry’s next infrastructure shift. Business Travel News has gathered perspectives from across the ecosystem on what it means for distribution, booking, payment, and the role of the TMC.
Oversee co-founder and CTO Ami Goldenberg is among the industry voices featured. He describes MCP as an “accessibility layer” for AI agents – drawing a direct parallel to how APIs once moved travel from offline to web and mobile. In his view, suppliers can now develop their own MCP servers that interact directly with AI assistants, opening up capabilities that weren’t previously possible within legacy integration models.
Ami Goldenberg also sees a clear opportunity for forward-thinking TMCs: building MCP infrastructure on top of their own corporate data, and positioning themselves at the centre of an increasingly automated travel ecosystem.
