In Business Travel Magazine’s roundup of 2026 travel trend predictions from top industry experts, our Chief Product Officer, Oded Zilinsky, shares his perspective on the shifts redefining corporate travel. His contribution highlights the evolving pressures and opportunities facing travel managers today, and the growing role data will play in navigating them:
“What weโre seeing at Oversee is that rising travel costs and a tightening of supplier discounts are making it harder for travel managers to deliver the same value from their corporate travel programs. For many travel managers, this shift poses a real challenge โ delivering savings and maintaining traveller satisfaction is becoming more complex. But itโs also driving a positive transformation. Those who learn to harness their travel data more effectively can unlock powerful new levers for optimisation. By reshopping flights and hotels, identifying missed savings, and uncovering trends in traveller behaviour, travel managers can make smarter, more cost-effective decisions. This data-driven approach not only improves savings but also helps increase hotel attach rates, for example, strengthen policy compliance, or enhance overall program performance. So, 2026 will be the year of harnessing data and optimization in response to market conditions.”
Oded also points to agentic AI as another major trend set to shape 2026. He predicts that this will be the year mainstream TMCs fully leverage Generative AI as a core driver of operational efficiency, with large-scale adoption of LLM-powered agents automating high-volume, routine service requests. As tasks like booking flows, exchanges, cancellations, and invoice queries become AI-driven, TMCs will unlock new scalability, stronger margins, and greater capacity to reinvest in elevated client service. For travel managers and travelers, this will translate into faster response times, consistently met SLAs, and a higher standard of white-glove support.
